Deactivated Property sticker placed on Building 20

Location: Building 20
Date: March 27, 1998
Perpetrators: unknown

Building 20 was built during WWII as a ``temporary building.''. Despite its temporary stature, the building lasted well into the 1990s when it was removed to make way for the new Stata Center complex to house MIT's computer science research on the main campus.

To highlight its condemned status, hackers placed a larger version of MIT's Deactivated Property stickers on the building (these stickers regularly adorn equipment, especially aging computer equipment, which has gotten so old that the Institute no longer wishes to keep it on inventory and/or is ready to dispose of the property).
