Banner mocking Larry Summers' comments on Women in Science at Harvard

Location: Lobby 7
Date: A sunday in March 2005

Shortly after Larry Summers' derogatory remarks about women in science, a 4'x6' banner hanging in Lobby 7 suspended out over the center from the 4th floor on the sides and from the 2nd floor railings appeared. It looked like it was based on the LBGT "lbgt@mit / you are welcome here" (with horizontal rainbow bars) signs. Instead, it read "wise@harvard / you are welcome here" and the bars were colored to form an image of a circle with a plus below it (the symbol of Venus, universally recognized to mean "female").
