In honor of the impending release of a new Jurassic Park movie, Jurassic World, Lobby 7 was overrun by dinosaurs.
A larger-than-life pterodactyl hung as though swooping over Lobby 7.
A fence in the center of the lobby held a velociraptor, as did several of the plinths in Lobby 7. Signs instructed passerby to refrain from feeding them.
A banner on the third floor bannister proclaimed "When Dinos Ruled MIT."
Additional velociraptors could be seen in other locations around campus, including the ledge of Building 10, the roof of Kresge Oval, and outside Simmons Hall, which had long proclaimed itself "velociraptor free".
