On the last day of classes, a Tech Dinghy (the sailboats used for MIT's sailing classes) appeared in the moat surrounding the MIT Chapel. Swimming beside it was a purple porpoise.
The MIT Chapel, designed by famous architect Eero Saarinen, is surrounded by a small moat that reflects light up into the sanctuary. Although we don't recall it having contained a sailboat before, sailboats have appeared occasionally in the Alumni Pool.
